What happened when me and my dad was in the wrong place at the wrong time!
It started out being a good day, dad and I was finished working on our farm that day. My dad, in a tired voice told me “maneja tu” (you drive). We were on our way home when two big army trucks passed us sounding the honk trying to tell me to get out of their way. I was only going 65 miles per hour. Five minutes didn’t even pass when I saw a long line of cars, like about 50 cars. In front of us there were two white trucks, I kind of noticed that it was the L.F.M. (La Familia Michoacána/ Mafia). I was wondering what happened, in a firm voice I asked my dad “ que chingados paso” ( what the heck hapenend) when I saw the two big army trucks that passed me. I realized that the soldiers were searching every truck that drove by. But now it was the two white truck’s turn, the soldier made the stopping signal, when the two white trucks just dashed by the soldier making him prepare his rifle. While was trying to stop the truck to let one of the army trucks to go and try to stop the white trucks I heard four gun shots “BAM, BAM, BAM, BAM”. I got kind of scared and my dad said with a scared voice “ dale chingadoz, no me quiero morir tan pronto” ( Go, I don’t want to die at this time). While I made the U turn there was already another army truck behind us………..

Daniel, that sounds really scary. When I was there (Michoacan), it was right after the new president got elected. The one who is trying to get rid of the drugs and right before I got there, my ex-suegro told me that in a house a few miles away the L.F.M. killed an entire family for supposedly turning them in...they wrote on the outside of their house, "Matados por la boca." People who wonder why some of us want to move to the United States need to see what goes on down there.
ReplyDeleteIn the town Los Reyes, thats where my family lives and we have a hous down there, and when i went this past December, I was the witness of how the L.F.M got four guys that were being kind of like showoffs and they were aiming at them with long rifles they looked like AK-47s and they had bulletproof jackets and masks so they wouldnt get recognized but i recognized them because they were driving a 2009 chevy pick up and on the sides it said L.F.M. Days later I found out that the guys that got picked up by the L.F.M were decaptitated and their heads were at their house's front door.
