Holi

On 28 February, I and my family members celebrated our Indian festival ‘Holi’. It is also known as festival of colors. It is a very old festival and basically celebrates the victory of good over bad. On this day people hug each other and wish ‘Happy Holi’. Celebration of Holi begins with the bonfire. There are many stories and legends associated with this festival. People rub different colors on each other’s face. Everyone is so happy. This time I really missed my friends and my relatives. My friends called me and told me about how they enjoyed. I wish I was in India then I would have also enjoyed.

Happy Holi, Ritu! I always missed that they don't celebrate "Kid's Day" in the United States, the way that my cousins did in Bolivia. They get all kinds of presents from everyone in the family just for being kids!! Every year they would send me a big stuffed animal, but it wasn't the same.
