The dance you are about to watch is an Aztec dance. We (Antonio and Daniel) are going to dance this dance for Our Lady of Guadalupe. For us, it is a big celebration because it is Jesus' birth. It's when Virgin Mary had Jesus.
Place: Brescia University to Parrish Hall
December 12th.

Thanks for sharing the video, Daniel and Antonio. I can't wait to watch you all perform the dance at Brescia. I am even going to have my students watch the video and snd home a note to their parents infroming them of the upcoming event.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wanted to clarify something, if I may. December the 12th is the Feast Day of Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe. That is why we celebrate that day. She appeared to Juan Diego on December 9, but the actual miracle with the roses and her impression on his "tilma," did not occur until three days later on Dec. 12. The Feast Day for Juan Diego is Dec. 9. Please see http://catholiceducation.org/articles/stories_of_faith_and_character/cs0092.html for more information. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to see you dance!
Thankyou for your comment and yes i made the mistake of our lady of guadaupe because thats when juandiego took the floers that prove that the lady of guadalupe was real and when they sold the flowers and the image of our lady of guadalupe they believe him. The bishop then started working so they can build a church were the lady of guadalupe appear.we really apreciate for your comments and you can keep putting what you think on our work.
ReplyDeleteI can see that you all put a lot of effort into improving your writing for Mr. Brown's class. Please continue to work on these skills, because later on, in college, you will really put them to good use. I really can't wait to meet you all at the Celebration for Our Lady of Guadalupe at Brescia!!
ReplyDeleteYeah mr. browns class has helped me a lot in my spelling and reading, but we have also learned about other cultures and their beliefs.
